In 1978, Craig Sorenson formed Golden State Sign Company, designing and producing innovative dimensional, electrical and screen printed signage. A pioneer in technology-based sign design and manufacturing, Sorenson was among the first in the industry to implement computer graphics and fabrication processes, as well as polyurethane reproduction of carved wood original signage. Clients included El Torito Restaurants nationwide, Fleetwood Enterprises, The 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, and Corporate Park Management properties throughout Southern California. Sorenson received 2 national design awards from Signs of the times Magazine in the 1980’s.
